Sitnikov Commits to Rivier

By East Coast Wizards 09/12/2023, 4:30pm EDT

East Coast Wizards forward Tyler Sitnikov has announced his commitment to play college hockey at Division III Rivier University in Nashua, New Hampshire.

“I want to thank my family, friends, and coaches for helping me along this journey,” Sitnikov said. “I am grateful for the opportunity of playing college hockey at the Division III level. It’s been a long journey but I’m excited for what’s to come.”

Sitnikov spent last season with the Wizards and tallied ten goals and six assists over 45 games. Prior to joining East Coast, the Salem, Massachusetts native played two years with the New Hampshire Avalanche at the EHL Premier level.

“We couldn’t be more happy for Tyler. He was one of the most competitive players in the league this year,” Wizards head coach Kory Falite said. Between that, his skating ability, and his overall work ethic, he’s going to make a great college hockey player and we’re looking forward to seeing him at the next level.”

Roach Commits to SUNY-Brockport

By East Coast Wizards 05/01/2023, 2:45pm EDT

An East Coast Wizards veteran has announced his next chapter on the ice.

Wizards forward Connor Roach will attend SUNY-Brockport and continue his hockey career with the Golden Eagles. Roach spent the last two seasons as part of the East Coast Eastern Hockey League program.

“I would like to thank my family, coaches, and teammates for all of their support throughout the years,” Roach said. “I am grateful for the opportunity to play college hockey at Brockport, and I cannot wait to get started this fall.”

Roach played a total of 86 games for the Wizards, tied for the seventh-most in program history. The Florida native tallied 81 points in that span, the third-most by any Wizard, and recorded the fourth-most assists in East Coast Wizards history with 50. This past season, Roach averaged over a point per game with 18 goals and 28 assists in just 43 contests.

“Connor has been a huge cog in our offense the past two seasons. After leading the team in scoring his first year, he finished off his junior career in the top 15 in points this year,” Wizards head coach Kory Falite said. “We are excited to see his hard work pay off with his commitment to Brockport, and we’re looking forward to seeing him succeed at the next level.”

Jacobs Continuing Hockey Career at Franklin Pierce

By East Coast Wizards 04/08/2023, 4:00pm EDT

Franklin Pierce University continues to load up on the black and gold.

East Coast Wizards goaltender Theo Jacobs announced that he will play hockey for the Ravens this fall. Jacobs becomes the third Wizard to commit to FPU, joining forward Nick Fish and defenseman Rocco Seery.

“I’d like to thank my coaches, my family, and my teammates,” Jacobs said. “I want to thank Coach Falite for supporting me all season long and I am very excited to be joining a couple of my teammates at Franklin Pierce.”

Jacobs, who is from nearby Hingham, Massachusetts, spent one season at Bridgton Academy before joining the Wizards for the 2022-23 season. Prior to that, he played at Hingham High School and helped lead the Harbormen to a 14-1 record in 2020-21.

“Theo was an amazing teammate this season and although he was hurt all year, he never missed a day to contribute in any way possible,” East Coast head coach Kory Falite said. “We are so glad things worked out for him after a tough year.”

Forward Ryan Webb is part of the returnees ahead of the East Coast Wizards' season opener against the Connecticut Chiefs.
